The Abbey of Marmoutier
On the Romanesque road of Alsace, let's stop in front of this facade, a true jewel of Rhenish Romanesque art from the 10th-12th centuries. Let's try together to detail its decoration adorned with Lombard friezes and somewhat enigmatic representations!
The interior is just as magnificent with its nave with “floral” capitals and its prestigious 18th century choir.
Finally, its deep and mysterious crypt invites you to discover numerous sarcophagi including that of Saint Léobard.
